The Corcoran Group: Neighborhood Tips

In supporting Corcoran’s brand premise of helping customers think ‘beyond the four walls’ of their apartment search, and using the specific guidance and insight that is only possible from working with an agent, our team built a large centralized database of local neighborhood tips, which were syndicated to Foursquare, Google Local, Pinterest, Tumblr, Findery and Gowalla (RIP). We’d interview our agents from around the city, and add 5-10 new tips a week. Over time this grew to be a database of more than 4,000 tips, essentially blanketing the city in Corcoran advice. These tips were also recycled back into corcoran.com searches across the web and mobile apps, surfacing as contextually relevant advice while the user was searching (for example Upper East Side tips would surface inside of Upper East Side searches).
