Self-Isolation: Week Twenty Seven

I spent most of this week making up 2 new books and sending them off to the printer - one that documents all my creative projects and writing from my time at Kingston University (this one was a true labor of love and I can’t wait to see what comes back from the printer), and an anthology of all my photos, designs and interactive projects from my 8 years at The Corcoran Group. Making books is getting easier, and while a bit. of a slog, is always exciting to send off to get produced.

Also managed to get to a couple of small design projects, but spent a lot of time playing through Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, which is further helping to immerse me in the Ancient Greek culture I’ve been enjoying over the past couple of months. I’m mainly spending most of my free time with my academic pursuits at the moment, and am on the final week of UPenn’s Ancient Philosophy (Plato and his predecessors) course. I’m exploring what it might look like to formally enroll in an undergraduate course at UPenn to formalize my studies towards a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts & Sciences, which is exciting.

The other semi-exciting news is that I got a new iPhone this week, with a much, much better camera, which is really helping out some of the project documentation I’ve been meaning to get to over the past few months. On the music side, I’m listening to a lot of Tindersticks, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen, Captain Beefheart and Monster Movie this week.
